Carl Froch picks David Haye over Audley Harrison, but calls Harrison "live underdog"

Just days before WBA heavyweight titlist David Haye and Audley Harrison touch gloves at the MEN Arena in Manchester.  Haye is coming in as a 1/7 favourite on most lines, and many believe Harrison poses
almost no danger and is simply going to serve as a tune-up for Haye.  But not super middleweight contender Carl Froch, who cautioned against writing off Harrison.
Speaking to Hennessey Sports, Froch picked Haye as the winner, saying: "Who do I think will win? No surprises with my answer to that one. Haye has to be the obvious favourite based on his consistency
and I will be in the majority for thinking that. He unified the cruiserweight division and so far has done the job at heavyweight.”
But unlike others, Froch specified that he posed a legitimate threat to Haye.
“But Audley is definitely a live underdog and whatever happens, he always has that big left hand that has gotten him out of jail on occasions,” he said.
Froch is busy preparing for a 27 November meet with Arthur Abraham.  The two will be rumbling for the WBC super middleweight title in a third stage Super Six Boxing tournament bout.
The bout was not originally for the WBC title, but the organization subsequently decided to award it to the winner after titleholder Mikkel Kessler withdrawn from the tournament with a severe eye injury.
He has since become “champion emeritus,” meaning he is guaranteed a title shot should he decide to come back to the ring.
Froch and Abraham were scheduled to fight in September but the bout was postponed when Froch cited a back injury.  They will meet in Helsinki, Finland.
Summing up Haye’s upcoming bout, Froch mused: "the beauty of the heavyweight division [is] when you have two big fella's really looking to prove a point, it almost invariably ends in one going over and
taking a long nap. They will probably put a pillow and a blanket down for the loser and then switch off the MEN lights for the night.”
