Carl Froch reckons Sky Sports viewers are in for a fitting end to Super Six Classics – Boxing news
The two-time and reigning World Boxing Council’s Super Middleweight champion, Carl Froch, reckons Sky Sports viewers are in to see an absolute classic on October 29, 2011.
The Cobra, Froch, is set to take on the current World Boxing Association’s World Super Middleweight champion, Andre Ward, in the final of the ‘Winner takes all’ Super Six Classics Tournament in Atlantic City.
This fight will be one of the biggest blockbusters as it will see two of the boxing’s best middleweights in the world fighting each other for the WBA and WBC belts and the prestigious Ring Magazine titles. Moreover, the winner of the bout will possibly face
Dr. Ironfist, Vitali Klitschko, in his next defence.
Therefore Froch, who has won 28 of his 29 professional fights, with 28 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, believes it will be a great show for the people of his country.
The 34-year-old Nottingham’s pugilist, Froch, claimed there cannot be a bigger fight than this and he will put in his best to make it an explosive bout.
While speaking on his inclusion, he said, “This is the two best fighters that entered the tournament meeting in the final for the WBC and WBA titles and the Super Six trophy - it couldn't be any bigger or better. This what top sport is all about, the best
in the division fighting each other. I think the super-middleweight division is the best division in world boxing, full of top fighters.”
This fight is being considered as what will be the defining fight for the Brit’s career. Hence Froch said he is very excited.
He said, “This fight means everything. The Super Six has eradicated the politics of boxing and let the best super-middleweights in the world go at it - now just two remain. It's a pleasure to be involved in this.”
Let’s see if Carl Froch can see off the undefeated American prospect, Andre Ward in this promising bout.
