Carl Froch upbeat about his upcoming bout against Andre Ward in October – Boxing news
The two-time and reigning World Boxing Council’s Super Middleweight champion, Carl ‘The Cobra’ Froch, is super confident ahead of his mega showdown against the current World Boxing Association’s World Super Middleweight champion, Andre Ward, as he claimed
he will shrug off the unbeaten American on the fight night.
Carl Froch and Andre Ward are both set to meet in the Super Six World Boxing Classic Final on October 29, 2011 in the Atlantic City and Froch has vowed people will see the best version of him on the fight night.
The 34-year-old Nottingham’s pugilist, Froch, who has won 28 of his 29 professional fights, with 20 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, told the media this is a mega showdown. He said it will have all the titles on the line and a lot of great boxers
will be there to see him and Ward in action.
Froch remarked he will be in the best shape of his career on the fight night and Ward will be surprised by him.
While speaking on his inclusion, he said, “I imagine there will be a lot of the big names turning out at ringside for this fight. Pretty much everyone in the sport will be checking it out. We have got the WBA and WBC titles, the Ring magazine title and the
number one spot in the division all up for grabs.”
“And trust me; you'll not see a better version of 'The Cobra' on the 29th October. Ward thinks he knows what is coming, but he's not gonna see this one,” concluded Froch.
The 2004 Summer Olympics gold medallist, Andre Ward, has never been defeated in the ring as of yet, as he has won all of his 24 professional fights as of yet including 13 by the way of a knockout. However, Froch reckons he has the tools to see off America’s
best.
Froch said, “He can switch hit or whatever he feels like but we've got a different approach.”
