as well.

Pettersson was consistent throughout the day but still he played better on the front nine than the back nine. He started the back nine with a birdie on the tenth hole and later on the sixteenth hole, he carded another birdie.
These made his score two-under par on the back nine and his total score rose to six-under par for the day.
After the first day, Carl Pettersson was on the number one spot of the leaderboard. He was one stroke clear of the tied second position.
The Swedish professional golfer was happy with his first day performance. He had an outstanding run. In an interview he said, “We’ve seen it about as easy as it can get. It’s still a very tough golf course”.
The weather conditions did not affect the game much. Pettersson added “There really wasn’t much wind on the front nine, so I knew I had to keep going low because I figured the wind would get up. The wind started blowing a little bit on the back nine, and
I carried on solid play. So it was a great day for me”.
