Question:

Carl Rove vacationing near Georgia a few weeks before Georgia Attacks Russian Peace Keepers--Your take?

There are several sources on the net showing that Carl Rove was "vacationing" in the Crimea, very close to Georgia, about 2 1/2 weeks before Georgia attacked Russian Peace Keepers in Ossetia. It might mean absolutely nothing. But maybe it was a set up. And if so, why? What is their game? What do they want? So...have you heard about Rove being in the vicinity before the Georgians attacked the Russians? And what do you make of it?

  1. Rove story is nor true.  Fabricated.  He was in the state of Georgia...not country.

  2. You need to stop taking your mom's meds.

  3. It would not surprise me.   Bush badly wants another war somewhere.   He tried very hard to have one with Iran and now he will do his best to get more American military members killed in his pissing contest with the Russians.    If he would spend 1/8 as much time trying to fix things in this country as he spends trying to rule the world,  the USA would be on the path to recovery.

  4. Gee, you think Carl Rove is more important than anyone in the world. He had nothing to do with it, of course. The Russians were waiting until the Olympics so they didn't get as much TV coverage.

  5. I was the person who called into Thom Hartman's show on 8/13/08 and reported this. Nothing was implied other than the occurrence, so other folks who answered this question and immediately started chirping about "conspiracy theory websites" might want to check it out for themselves.

Rove's being in the Crimea for a vacation and "conference" was first reported by Andrew Malcolm of the L.A. Times, and was a result of his (Rove's) calling to express his condolences regarding the death of Tony Snow.

BTW, I don't know what Rove was doing there, or if there is any connection to the recent events in Georgia and Ossetia. However, it is notable that there are certain individuals in our government who seem to leave a trail of dead bodies in their wake wherever they go (for example: John "death squad" Negroponte). Perhaps, Mr. Rove has joined that elite cadre as well, eh?

  6. If there were over a dozen sources, you should have been able to provide a credible one.  My guess is that they're all conspiracy sites not worth my time... especially if they can't even spell Rove's name correctly.

  7. I haven't seen any of these sources.  Sounds like the beginning of your typical nonsensical conspiracy theories.  Russia is putting out propaganda like this, but few will take it seriously.
