Carl edwards has 5 wins this season how come the anouncers never talk about him?

Because these morons are all Chevy lovers and  Ford haters. It's always been that way. Having Toyota in the mix messes up the chemistry a bit. But this week they'll have J Gibbs to trash as well. If any brand other than chevy is leading, they talk about Gordon, or Junior, or Johnson no matter what place they're in. It's obvious to me.

Because he's just not as interesting. I like him, I do, but he's not as interesting as say..Kyle "Rowdy" Busch. :)

I often wonder as well. Admittedly, Kyle Shrub is having a season one could only dream about. So far. If he doesn't win the championship this year, it'll be for naught.

The announcers do seem to be awed by his success. I think that's why they gush about Shrub. Carl is having a spectacular season, overcoming the early docking of points. Again, Shrub's success so far over shadows everyone else.

If DW was still broadcasting this 1/2 of the season instead of the first half, you would hear a lot about Carl. Go to Fox Sport and click on DW or one of the other guys. They have a lot to say about Carl.

Because Kyle is doing better.  Carl is having a great season this year, but it just so happens there is a driver out there doing better.  If it wasn't for Kyle's 8 wins, Carl would be talked about more.

They'll start talking about him REAL soon. Last season I didn;t like Edwards, but I do this season and I noticed they talked about him A LOT on ESPN, so i think they will be talking about "Concrete Carl" very soon....

but I guess not as much since Rusty Wallace loved him and always talked about him, and he's not in the booth anymore

Before TNT, he got plenty of coverage. DW and Rusty love him. Since TNT took over, it does seem he doesn't get as much coverage as he did before, with the exception of last week.

Because every year NASCAR tries to create these "superstars". They want someone like Dale Earnhardt Sr but they don't want all of the profits going into an Earnhardt's pocket so they pick someone like Kyle Busch and he gets special favoritism. Carl just gets a little of it. Kind of like to throw everyone off.

I like Carl. He'd be a lot better face for the sport than Kyle. Kyle comes off as a brat.

Cause most of the time negative press gets more talk.

Edwards goes out drives hard wins and stays out of trouble.

Other drivers get more attention cause they cause problems and surround themselves with controversy.

Look at Burton.You rarely hear about him but he is a consistant cup driver over the years.
