The former Barcelona coach believes Madrid are under pressure to deliver the domestic championship, after leading the campaign for the majority duration of the season.
The start of the month of March saw Real Madrid boasting off a 10-point advantage over second-placed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 in La Liga points table.
However, the Capital club has seen their lead slump to a meagre 4 points, with only a handful of matches remaining until the end of the season, including a trip to the Camp Nou.
Reflecting on the situation, former Barcelona coach, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carles-c8330 Rexach, claimed that Jose Mourinho’s men are crumbling under the pressure of claiming their first league crown in four years.
Rexach opined that La Blaugrana have the tide in their favour after registering 10 successive wins on the trot and believes they can claim their fourth consecutive league title come the end of the season.
The experienced tactician also took out time to talk about La Liga El Clasico scheduled to take place on April 21st, and claimed that Pep Guardiola’s charges can triumph over Los Blancos at the Camp Nou.
"If nothing weird happens before, I am convinced that we will win the Liga if we beat Madrid at Camp Nou, because there would not be much left before the end of the season and the pressure on Madrid would be terrible.”
Rexach praised Barcelona’s recent set of performances and believes this has put Real Madrid under boiling pressure to perform out of their skins in their remaining matches.
He commented that Los Blancos need to calm their nerves if they want to lift La Liga crown at the end of the season, but has seen nothing of this sort thus far.
"Barca are going through a great moment and Madrid are very nervous and really feeling the pressure.”
"When a team is in such a moment, it is important that someone from the club comes out and says that nothing is going on.”
"But right now, I do not see that happening."
Real Madrid’s recent slump has spiced up the title race which looked to be all but over just a few weeks ago.
