Carling Cup Player Ratings – Exeter City vs Liverpool – Exeter City
Exeter City played host to Liverpool, in both the team’s encounter in the Carling Cup. The homeside were well aware of the fact that they were up against a heavy opposition going into the game and needed to go all out in order to pick up a shock win. However,
despite their best efforts, Liverpool ended up on top by three goals to one at the end of the game.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Artur-Krysiak-c6736: The keeper was all over the place during the game. He could have done a lot better to deny the Reds from scoring, but failed to do so. His hesitation ended up making him play much worse than he needed to.
Billy Jones: Couldn’t keep up with the Liverpool strike force and saw Suarez run circles around him. Carroll’s height also proved to be a major setback for the defender.
Richard Duff: Was quite poor, like most of the defenders on his team, couldn’t help contain Liverpool, at all.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-c10193 Coles: Was mostly missing in the game and never really managed to show his authority.
Scott Golbourne: Managed to make some good runs forward, in order to help with the attack, but once again, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 squads pace was a little too much for him to handle.
Troy Archibald-Henville: Couldn’t contain the midfielder at all and on a number of occasions saw the Reds midfielders run right past him and even through him on a few occasions.
James Dunne: Could be described as the best of the worst. His performance on the right wing was quite good and he created a chance or two in the box every now and then.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Noble: Never managed to really get a strong footing in a match and just when it thought like he might start performing, the game ended.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chris-c9006 Shephard: Tried his best to be the wall between the Reds and the Liverpool defence, but his determination was no match for the Reds power.
Guillem Bauza: Couldn’t really contribute to the game at all, considering he was taken off after just twenty five minutes to an injury that he picked up.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-c9879 Nardiello: Proved that having played for Manchester United as a youngster was actually quite good for players. He could have scored a goal or two, had he been given the right delivery from the back. Scored the goal for his side via a penalty. Had
he been given a little extra support up front, or had the right passes been played, he could have troubled the Reds for sure.
