Carling Cup Player Ratings – Exeter City vs Liverpool – http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809
Liverpool took on Exeter City in a Carling cup game last night. The Reds went into the match as the firm favourites to come out on top and despite the homeside putting up a marginal fight, the Reds marched on through them and won the game by a score of three
goals to one.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pepe-Reina-c29672: The keeper was playing his regular game of football and made a number of good saves. He seemed to start of the second half with a scare, but regained his footing later on.
John Flanagan: Didn’t need to do much, but whatever he did was to the point and effective.
Martin Skrtel: The defender was quite silent throughout the game and even went on to concede the penalty .
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-Wilson-c10234: The youngster didn’t get a chance to really make a name for himself in the game, however he was calm, composed and effective throughout the course of the game and seemed to make a name for himself.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Robinson-c17461: Got forward quite often, but was given a run for his money by Dunne, whose strength and power seemed to be a little too much for him.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jordan-Henderson-c19102: Could have won a penalty for his side, but was given a yellow card for diving instead. His passing was decent and direct and he didn’t try to many over the top balls.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jay-Spearing-c18106: Played as though he has infinite stamina and made a number of good tackles. He retained possession brilliantly and was quite brilliant during the game.
Charlie Adam: Continued the same form that he displayed during the start of the season and looked to really try and get Liverpool to move forward. His passing was outstanding and his ability to find the Liverpool strikers was also quite outstanding.
Maxi Rodriguez: Was quiet initially in the game, but started to grow into the match as time progressed. He ended up scoring a brilliant goal, which was only made possible due to his positioning and ability to make darting runs.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Raul-Meireles-c30678: Played only twenty minutes of the game and had to be taken off, due to a shoulder injury that he picked up.
Luis Suarez: Had an outstanding game and scored a brilliant goal as well. His movement was phenomenal and his ability to beat defenders and use his pace to his advantage really helped his team. His ruthlessness helped set up Maxi Rodriguez for his goal and
his hardwork helped him land the man of the match award in the end.
