The Paris Saint-Germain coach is relishing the challenge that awaits his cash-laden side in the group stages of the European club competition

And the Italian tactician has spoken of his excitement following Paris Saint-Germain’s return to the Champions League. The Parisiens have returned to the European competition after a three-year absence, and Carlo Ancelotti is already looking forward to the
start of the competition.
While talking to reporters, the 53-year-old stated that the draws have been made and it’s time to start preparing for the games. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 international added that their main priority is to progress from the groups stages, and believes that his side
has the ability to achieve that feat.
"The draw is past; we must now play the matches. We will do our best to progress from the knockout stages," he said.
Les Parisiens are relatively newcomers in the Champions League, and Ancelotti believes that their opponents have a psychological advantage over them as they have much more European experience under their belt.
"This is a new experience for the club. Teams like Porto, Kyiv and Zagreb have a certain international experience.”
The former Milan manager stated that the Champions League matches are very special, and he is eagerly waiting for the competition to get started.
And the 53-year-old does not only want to progress through the next round, he wants to do so by topping the Group A.
"Champions League matches are special, there's motivation, commitment. I hope that we will progress to the knockout stages by finishing top of this group."
The oil-money-fuelled club from Paris have recruited a number of world class players this summer, with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 arriving at Parc des Princes.
Expectations are high from the Ile giants this season, and Carlo Ancelotti is hopeful that the players will come good, despite starting the 2012/2013 Ligue 1 campaign on a back foot, with just three points from their opening three games.
However, with the quality of players they have at their disposal, it won’t be wrong to assume that the Parisiens will hit top gear soon.
