Carlo Ancelotti: Chelsea are back in confidence and raring to go
Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has said that his team has got its confidence back after a dreadful run of form and are now all set for the rest of the 2010-11 season.
Ancelotti stressed that his team was short on confidence and as a result were unable to give their 100 per cent to training which eventually led to a dip in form.
The Blues have been going through some difficult times recently after their surprise dip in form before the Christmas of 2010. It piled up immense pressure on their manager Carlo Ancelotti and the players, but they were all able to face the media and their
fans bravely.
“A lot of times in the past, I've said the atmosphere is good, sometimes it wasn't really good because the players had more difficulties to train, with less confidence. Now the confidence has improved with the results,” Ancelotti told a local television.
Ancelotti previously commented that the title race was already over as far as Chelsea were concerned after falling way behind the current leaders Manchester United in the League table.
The manager now seems confident about his team, especially after the Blues defeated Manchester United at Stamford Bridge by a 2-1 margin on Tuesday.
Ancelotti denied to talk about any title hopes but hinted that following United’s slump against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 and the Arsenal-Sunderland draw at the Emirates has given his team an outside chance of coming into title’s contention.
However, he has demanded his team to stay focussed on their job and do not dream too high as they travel away to Bloomfield Road to take on the sensational Blackpool team on Monday.
“It's the wrong way to prepare by thinking it will be easier against Blackpool than United, we have to be more in focus against them than against United. It's easy to stay focused against United because there's so much attention on the game, and a lot of
pressure,” the manager added.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 are currently fourth in the League table and level on points with fifth placed Tottenham Hotspur. A win over Blackpool would leave them nine points short of United while a loss could even push their place in jeopardy for next season’s UEFA Champions
League.
