The 53-year-old feels that Paris Saint-Germain played well against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 on Sunday, and is happy with the draw in the first Clasico of the season
Carlo Ancelotti’s side failed to nick a win in the top-of-the-table duel on Sunday, as a brace from Andre-Pierre Gignac helped Marseille stay at the top of the table.
PSG marquee signing, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029, scored couple of wonder goals at Stade Velodrome but his efforts weren’t enough to guide his side to the summit.
However, PSG coach, Carlo Ancelotti is satisfied with the draw against their arch-rivals and has rubbished reports saying that the Parisiens played poorly on Sunday.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 international, while talking to ligue1.com after the Clasico, said that Paris Saint-Germain played good football and a draw away from home, against a team like Marseille, is a good result.
"We didn't play badly and I think a draw was a fair result.”
Praising Sunday's opponents, Ancelotti said that Les Phoceens started the game really well and scored an early goal putting extra pressure on his players. However, PSG reacted well to that and scored couple of brilliant goals to get back in the game.
The coach feels that PSG should have stopped OM form scoring the second goal in order to register a win at Stade Velodrome.
“OM started the game very well but we reacted well to that. The key was Marseille's equaliser as if we'd managed to control the game after Zlatan's second goal then things wouldn't have been the same.”
Praising the goal-scorer, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 manager said that the Swede was once again phenomenal, but added that other players need to share the goalscoring duties as well.
“Zlatan was excellent from set-pieces but there were also chances for Pastore and Gameiro.”
Talking about the teams who are likely to rival Paris Saint-Germain for the Championelle, Ancelotti said that along with Marseille, he expects Lyon and Lille to give his side hard time in the league this season.
“OM are a solid side and they have experience but I think that Lyon will also be challenging for the title. Lille also have a very good side and we're still second in the league."
