Carlo Ancelotti admits desire to manage AS Roma in future
Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has said that he plans to manage Serie A side AS Roma in the future but has also stressed that he will honour his contract with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 before doing so.
While talking to the media, Ancelotti denied that he is waiting for Roma officials to call him but also added that he will definitely take the bus to Rome if his adventure at Chelsea hits the buffers.
Ancelotti said, “If they send me away at Chelsea? It means I will be a tourist for one year.”
The Italian was heavily linked with a return to Roma following Claudio Ranieri’s recent resignation but he chose to stay at Stamford Bridge as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 named former striker Vincenzo Montella as their interim coach.
However, Ancelotti continues to be linked with a move to Roma as it is believed that Giallorossi officials are looking for a permanent coach with more experience. Moreover, it has been suggested that Montella was made the manager of Roma so that he could
see off the remainder of the season and it is expected that he will return to his original position as an Under-15 coach as soon as they find a worthy replacement.
Although Ancelotti has said that he wishes to stay with Chelsea, the club’s recent slump in form may turn the tables for him as owner Roman Abramovich is not known for his patience.
Apart from that, Ancelotti is considered as the perfect man to take Giallorossi forward as he had a great playing career with them where he used to play as a midfielder. Furthermore, his experience of managing Serie A giants AC Milan is also another reason
why many consider him the best option to manage Roma.
Ancelotti won the Scudetto once in 2004 and the Champions League title twice in 2003 and 2007 for AC Milan which is another reason why new Roma owners are looking at him as a permanent option for Roma.
