The coach believes that the former LA Galaxy star has the capability to play as a defensive holding midfielder, and can orchestrate the game for Les Parisiens. The coach drew the presumption from the 37-year-old’s performances
when he was playing for the MLS outfit. Ancelotti said:
“He has a very good quality of pass. He did that last season in Los Angeles.”
However, the coach is concerned about Beckham’s fitness, as he doubtful that whether he can play for continuous 90 minutes. The Italian wants the player to improve his fitness and try to keep up with the dynamics of French football.
The coach stated:
He's going to work for the rest of this week, not because he has a problem, but because he needs to improve his fitness as he was on holiday for a month."
