Carlo Ancelotti denies spat between http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 boss Carlo Ancelotti dismissed the row between skipper John Terry and star striker Didier Drogba as nothing in an interview after the tense 3-3 draw with Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.
Ancelotti insisted that there was no trouble in his dressing room and the squad was still intact. The Italian manager tried to take positives from the games and said further improvement was needed. He said, “Everything is OK in the dressing room. We've lost
confidence but not our winning mentality because our bad moment has been too long. I think that in the last game [the 1-0 win over Bolton Wanderers], the play was good. Obviously, we have to improve but I think we are improving.”
A draw was still not acceptable for the Blues and with much of the possession; they were constantly on the attack. It did not come as too much of a surprise when John Terry scored a third for his side to give them a 3-2 lead. Unfortunately, that did not
last long as Villa youngster http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ciaran-Clark-c9247 scored a goal shortly afterwards to level the score for the last time. It was then that the two senior Chelsea players were seen arguing as they walked off the pitch.
Considering the title bid, it was a horrible result for the defending champions. They have now slipped to fifth position in the English Premier League table and are most likely out of the title race.
Chelsea have suffered badly recently and have only been able to gather 35 points from the 20 games played so far. It would take nothing less than a miracle for them to be back in contention for the Champions League spot. But what happens during the rest
of the season, remains to be seen.
