Carlo Ancelotti eases fears about his future at Chelsea
Carlo Ancelotti has come out and settled some fears surrounding his future at the club as Chelsea lost their latest encounter to their title rivals, Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. The Blues are now fourth in the English Premier League table, a spot that
they have obtained after they fell from grace in the month of November. They started the English Premier League season with a bang as they surged to a five point lead at the top of the English league table.
However, their recent slump in form has seen them regress to zero wins in their last six league matches. Carlo Ancelotti’s future at the London club has been in doubt due to Chelsea’s lack of results but the Italian is adamant that he is staying at Chelsea
regardless of what happens on the pitch. Chelsea’s title rivals are at the top of the English Premier League as Manchester United now have a six point lead over the champions. Not only that, the Red Devils also have a game in hand as they have only played
17 matches as compared to the 18 that Chelsea have played up till now.
In his latest interview, Chelsea’s manager highlighted the fact that the team is well capable of returning to form. He also emphasized that the Blues won the double in the 2009-2010 season. Ancelotti said, "I don't know (how long owner Roman Abramovich will
remain patient). Obviously he won't be happy at this moment”.
Carlo accepted full responsibility for Chelsea’s fall from the top of the table as he said, “I will take my responsibility, but this is a question you have to ask him, not me. I'm not afraid about my job. Everyone said I did a fantastic job last year. Now
people are asking me about my job. We have to do better, obviously. It's not usual that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 can't win for six games."
The six matches that Chelsea have played after Ray Wilkins' departure from the club have seen them lose points. There have been reports that Wilkins' removal from the club has affected the players adversely as there is unrest in the dressing room.
Ancelotti cleared the air with regards to these reports as he said, "These rumours are not true. Everyone knows this moment is difficult and we're not able to do what we're usually able to do. Everyone is close to their team-mates. We won the double six
months ago. It's impossible that everything has changed, the atmosphere from the players, in that time."
