his players to do everything in their hands to collect maximum points on Tuesday.
While talking to reporters at a press conference, the 53-year-old tactician stated that his side has done really well in Europe this season and the need is continue that run. Winning at Porto is very important for the Paris club and the boss wants all three
points at home to get a better draw in the next round.
"It is important to finish first because you can get a better draw in the (next) round," the Italian told reporters.
The coach added that winning on Tuesday is even more important for his side as it will help silence their critics. After some below par performances in the Ligue 1 that has seen PSG drop to fourth in the league, Paris Saint-Germain need to win against Porto
to show that they are still a quality side and they mean busieness.
"And it is also important to play a good game and win to prove that the team has quality. We focus on the meeting to finish in first place, and change our attitude on the field."
Ancelotti added that a win on Tuesday will help the players regain some confidence and it will help heal the wounds of the defeat at the hands of OGC Nice at the weekend. The coach said that Porto are a big club in Europe and beating them would send a strong
message out there.
"We have the opportunity to play against a big club and we want to know how we can forget the defeat against Nice and regain confidence in our quality. This is why this [is an] important game, not for anything else."
