Carlo Ancelotti praises Nicolas Anelka after win over Sunderland
Chelsea boss, Carlo Ancelotti was full of praise for striker Nicolas Anelka after their 4-2 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday. Sunderland had thumped the defending champions 3-0 at Stamford Bridge earlier
in the season, when the Blues were facing a slump in form. However, Chelsea have now recovered as they have managed three back-to-back wins in the English Premier League, scoring 10 goals in the process.
Sunderland kicked off the match with a bang as they were the first ones to break the deadlock and gain the lead. However, Chelsea drew level with a penalty which was skilfully converted by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Salomon-Kalou-c32266 followed

Unlike the first half, Chelsea stood out as they controlled proceedings in the second half. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707 from Liverpool, the
French striker has been trying to prove a point. If his performance against Sunderland is to be taken under consideration then there is no doubt that the former Arsenal striker deserves a place in the starting XI.
While speaking of Anelka to the reporters, the Italian manager Ancelotti said, “He did play very well in that position, I was very happy with his performance. He was very dangerous in this position. It was difficult for Sunderland
to mark him. We were able to move on and everyone can see Chelsea has come back to play good football, come back to score, come back to use our ability on the pitch.”
However, Ancelotti refused to get carried away by the recent string of good results. He remained hopeful of his side retaining the Premier League crown, especially after the big-spending during the January transfer window. Needless
to say, Carlo is aware of the fact that the fate of his team now depends on Manchester United’s performance and not just their own.
