The Parisiens coach has nothing but praise for the ambitions of the club and has tipped PSG for greatness
The cash-laden club from Paris has invested heavily in the transfer window this summer. And in reaction to that, the club has received a lot of criticism for the lavish spending.
However, coach, Carlo Ancelotti has backed club’s decision to go an extra mile, and has stated that there is more to Les Parisiens than money.
While talking to reporters before his side’s Champions League opener against Dynamo Kiev, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 manager said that money is not everything in football, and criticising PSG for that is just wrong.
“I think everyone speaks about the money PSG gave to these players, but I think the most important thing is the project.”
The 53-year-old stated that the club has started a great project and PSG are destined for greatness. With all the investments and quality of players at Paris Saint-Germain, the Ile giants are set to take the world by storm in coming years.
Praising the club owner, Ancelotti said that the Parisiens are lucky to have such motivated people at the top, and it will help them achieve their objectives.
“We are working to this, and I believe we have the opportunity to move quickly because we have a lot of possibility through investment, and also the owner is really motivated to build a strong team.”
Talking about his side’s objectives this season, Ancelotti said that his main priority is to help PSG become a formidable force, both in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 and in Europe.
“I am here to build a strong team and be competitive in Europe.”
On a question regarding players’ motives in moving to Paris, the coach said that the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903 could easily earn same amount of money at any other club.
However, they signed for the Parisiens because they know that the capital club has started something special here.
“Ibrahimovic earned the same money in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926, as did Thiago Silva and Lavezzi, but here is a very special project and every player is involved.”
