Carlo Ancelotti ready to unleash http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044 on Arsenal
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 FC manager Carlo Ancelotti has claimed that Arsenal FC will be fearful of Didier Drogba when they face him on Monday. Previously, Cesc Fabregas had pointed out that his side’s apprehensive approach to the big games cost
them heavily.
Cesc, however, does have reasons to be afraid of Drogba considering the Ivorian’s record against the Gunners. The African has netted in an astonishing 13 goals in 13 appearances against the north-Londoners.
Ancelotti pointed out that Didier’s terrific track record against Arsenal may develop a fear-factor in the minds of the opponents.
He said, “I think they are a little bit afraid of the performance of Drogba, because he's done very well against them. If Drogba plays at his best we have more opportunity to win,”
Drogba came off the bench to bring the scores level against Tottenham Hotspur, in Chelsea’s last English Premier League game that took place on Sunday, December 12 . The equalizer against Spurs was Didier’s 8th goal
of the season.
Meanwhile, striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marouane-Chamakh-c24294 has expressed his desire to emulate Drogba’s success while playing at Arsenal.
Chamakh has been a great success since moving to London from French side FC Bordeaux at the start of this season. The Moroccan international has scored 10 goals in 23 appearances for the Gunners.
Marouane held the Ivory Coast striker in high regard and said, “It is very flattering to be compared with Drogba, even though I know I am far from being at his level. I have the greatest of respect for him and what he has achieved
even though he went through some tough times.”
“For strikers he is a role model. I hope that one day I will get to his level, even though he has set the bar very high.”
The English champions will travel across town on the 27th of December, to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in an eagerly anticipated London derby.
The Blues are currently languishing in 4th place, in the English Premier League, with 31 points off 17 games. However, the west-Londoners can overtake Gunners, who are in 2nd place, if they can grab all 3
points on Monday night.
Chelsea are without a win in their previous 5 matches and have not won since their 1-0 home victory against Fulham FC in November.
