Carlo Ancelotti remains confident about finishing in the top four
Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti remained confident of his side’s chances of finishing in the top four, even after they drew with Fulham last night. The Blues travelled to Craven Cottage to take on London rivals Fulham in a must win fixture but left with just
one point as the game ended in a 0-0 draw. Ancelotti, however, insisted his side were still on track to securing a place in the top four in the English Premier League.

the man of the match for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 as he stopped an extra time penalty to earn his side a point.
The former AC Milan manager was certain that the Blues could build on their performance and improve in the upcoming fixtures. Ancelotti said while speaking to reporters after the match, “The most important thing is to finish in the top four. I think we will
be able to do this if we play like we did. I'm an optimist and there's good reason to have confidence. The football we showed tonight was good, and we have to continue it.”
Chelsea take on Everton in the FA Cup fifth round replay next and then FC Copenhagen in the Champions League, their next Premier League fixture is against league leaders Manchester United. If they are to secure a place in the Champions League next season
they have to earn a win against an in-form United. Ancelotti has until March to get his squad sorted out because a loss against Sir Alex Ferguson’s side will definitely end all hopes of the Blues securing a place in the top four.
Ancelotti admitted he felt his side deserved to win the match but said he was pleased with their performance. He continued, “I think that we deserved to win this game. We could lose it, but Petr Cech saved a penalty with a fantastic save. It was a good performance,
especially in the second half. We put them under a lot of pressure, did not concede opportunities for them to come forward, and we created opportunities.”
Despite creating various opportunities, Chelsea failed to find the back of the net. Torres was blamed for most of the missed chances and was replaced with Drogba later on, but the Ivorian international could not salvage a goal either. It was suggested the
Blues would have done better had they started with Drogba instead of Torres, who seems to have lost his form since his arrival at Stamford Bridge. However, Ancelotti thought otherwise and believes he can get £50 million worth of goals out of the Spanish striker.
