In contact with sporting director of Paris Saint-Germain http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 manager Carlo Ancelotti is still the primary target to take over the reins from Antoine Kombouare as the new coach of PSG next summer.
Antoine Kombouare could also be shown the door in between the current season if the club’s performance falls. Unfortunately for Kombouare, the prospect of getting sacked is no more a rumour. Leonardo did meet Ancelotti a few days back to talk about the prospects of a future collaboration.
According to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Qatar-c2986 Investment Authority whose president Al-Khelaifi sees Kombouare as the main reason behind this.
Indeed it seemed that the axe would fall on the Kanak coach sooner rather than later when he said that his priority was to secure PSG a Champions League place while the Middle Eastern leaders of the club want the Championelle.
Since their takeover of the club in the summer, QIA have been linked with a host of high-profile coaches at the Parc des Princes and Carlo Ancelotti is one of those men who were infact approached by the cash-laden French outfit.
According to Le Parisien, the Italian tactician is already under the radar of PSG and chances are that the former AC Milan manager would be given the coaching position at Parc des Princes at the expense of Antoine Kombouare. Furthermore, PSG’s directors could possibly give the job to Ancelotti in between the season if the club experiences a series of bad results.
However it still remains to be seen whether Ancelotti would want to take the managerial hot seat at the Ile club or not as the Italian is still far from convinced at what the club has to offer.
Currently working as a consultant for Sky Sports, According to reports in Canal Plus, Ancelotti is in no hurry to leave his current position at Sky but would consider his stance if one English club approaches him. Reports suggest that Tottenham Hotspurs boss Harry Redknapp is keen on bringing the 52-year-old to the White Hart Lane which makes things a little bit complicated for PSG and could mean that Kombouare might live to see another day.
