Carlo Ancelotti still trying to remain calm about the future
Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has gone ahead and accepted the fact that the team’s owner Roman Abramovich might have finally started to run out of patience with the team and their current situation in the Premier League.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 went on to suffer a defeat in their last game of the year at the hands of Arsenal and as a result have now managed to go on six games without a single win. This run has become the worst run the team has had under Carlo Ancelotti and as a result,
has also made the mighty Blues seems much more human than they were thought to be.
As a result of the team’s poor form, Ancelotti’s position as Chelsea’s manager has come under intense speculation of late and at the current moment, keeping in mind how things are going at the club, it is close to impossible to determine what’s in store
for the manager in the future.
At the start of the season, Chelsea went on to lead the Premier League table by as many as five points; however they are now six points short of the new leaders, Manchester United. That being said, 2011 could get off to an even worse start for the team since
they are still carrying the possibility of dropping down to the sixth position at the end of Wednesday night.
The Chelsea manager is reported to have said: "I don't know (how long owner Roman Abramovich will remain patient). Obviously he won't be happy at this moment"
"I will take my responsibility, but this is a question you have to ask him, not me.
"I'm not afraid about my job. Everyone said I did a fantastic job last year. Now people are asking me about my job.
"We have to do better, obviously. It's not usual that Chelsea can't win for six games."
There were also some major speculations, to there being a rift in the Chelsea locker room, as a result of these poor performances. However Ancelotti has gone ahead to deny any and all such claims and is reported to have said: "These rumours are not true.
Everyone knows this moment is difficult and we're not able to do what we're usually able to do," he said.
"Everyone is close to their team-mates. We won the double six months ago.
"It's impossible that everything has changed, the atmosphere from the players, in that time."
However the manager has stated that his priorities at the moment are to try and get his management back on track. This is because in the game against Arsenal last night, the team went on to lose by three goals to one. The score line, however doesn’t quite
depict the true story as Chelsea were dominated throughout the game and didn’t seem to be able to get back in it.
In response to the humiliating defeat, the manager has asked the team to ‘Wake Up’ and has urged the fans that the team will be back to their best sooner rather than later.
If the manager manages to get Chelsea back on track once again, then it would be safe to say that Chelsea might still be in the title race. However if that is not the case, then Chelsea could prove to be the latest team with their fair share of problems
in the League.
