Newly-appointed coach of Paris Saint-Germain, Carlo Ancelotti took the opportunity to take stock of the upcoming winter transfer window activity. The French Ligue 1 giants are looking to bring in new players this winter and the Italian tactician
discussed a few rumours.
Officially unveiled as the new coach of Paris Saint-Germain, former AC Milan and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 manager Carlo Ancelotti faced the media for the first time as a coach of a Ligue 1 side.
Besides the usual questions and presentation, the Italian tactician inevitably had to answer questions related to the upcoming winter transfer window. With rumours constantly linking http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Beckham-c10432 with a move to Parc des Princes and with Carlo Ancelotti
having managed the former Manchester United man two seasons ago, it was natural for the 52-year-old to talk about the Englishman.
However, it was http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 who first gave an update of Beckham’s rumoured arrival at the capital club.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leo-c22011 said that the deal is yet to be finalised and admitted that it’s a good thing that he has the experience of playing under Carlo Ancelotti. Leonardo also indicated that Beckham needs time to think before making a decision.
With the flap closed on Beckham, Ancelotti finally gave his thoughts on his expectations in the winter transfer window.
“There is no question of budget. We want to take the advantage of the transfer window to strengthen the team in some areas. We have time to find solutions, it is not appropriate to name names, because they are players who have stability in their club, and
then it would also raise the stakes. We want to improve the team. What can be done will be done,” said Carlo Ancelotti thus making it clear that activity will be seen at the club this January.
With the likes of Pato, Drogba and Malouda linked with a move to PSG, Ancelotti said that he would only speak about http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Florent-Malouda-c13838 as he managed them during his time at Chelsea.
However, the Italian tactician refused to say much on the three players before confirming that the club is yet to make any offer so far which means that the tactician would take his time in bringing in new players at Parc des Princes.
