Carlo Mazzone: Carlo Ancelotti should be the next Roma coach- Serie A news
Former AS Roma centre-back, Carlo Mazzone, has insisted that the former AC Milan manager, Carlo Ancelotti, would be the best choice to take over as Roma manager. He mentioned that Ancelotti knows what it takes to manage this Roman outfit, as he himself was
a Roma player once. Mazzone believes that the Italian possesses all the managerial traits required to succeed at the club and take the club to new heights.
Meanwhile, Roma’s caretaker boss, Vincenzo Montella, has confirmed that he has not been offered a permanent contract at the club. The Giallorossi clearly do not want to continue with the 36-year-old and would soon find a replacement.
Ancelotti looks to be the ideal option as the 51-year-old was earlier sacked by English Premier League side, Chelsea, after he was unable to lead his side to any Silverware this season. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 finished second in this year’s campaign but had won the league
in Ancelotti’s first season as the manager at Stamford Bridge. The Italian also led the Blues to the FA Cup win in his maiden season with the club.
In the wake of these performances, which can hardly be regarded a failure, Ancelotti could get his wish of coaching Roma fulfilled. The manager previously stated that he would like to manage the Giallorossi but unfortunately he did not get the opportunity
to do so.
Mazzone further added, “I can say, as a former player, former coach and current fan, that it’s not easy to be in charge of Roma. The fans are extremely demanding. I see only one man who is right for this http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684: Ancelotti. He has everything it takes to lead
the Giallorossi, including a very successful career behind him.”
The 74-year-old also urged the Roma officials to announce the appointment of Ancelotti at the earliest as he is the perfect option. He claimed that the Italian possesses exceptional qualities which could come as a blessing for both the fans and the players.
He concluded by saying, “He knows the environment, having been a Roma player. He has all the characteristics needed to represent the new club.”
