Carlos Ancelotti is still hopeful
After more than two years, Arsenal won a North London Derby against their arch rivals http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. Chelsea lost their way after the exclusion of Ray Wilkins and Carlos Ancelotti has no clue what is happening to the “men in blue”. Chelsea started the season like
a utopia however; they could not keep the momentum going. The progress was hampered by few major injuries, especially the captain http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097. Apart from the injuries, the team suddenly looked rusty and failed to win even against minnow teams.
Chelsea has not won a single match in their last six played in Premier League.
After losing to Arsenal at the Emirates, in a post match conference Carlos Ancelotti said,"his team is asleep and need to wake up.” He settled himself again on the seat and continued, "Maybe I am asleep as well."
Clearly Ancelotti is under pressure after a shocking losing streak. At the start of the season the way Chelsea played, no one would have thought that they will be at fourth spot at the mid season stage. Ancelotti accepted that the club owner Roman Abramovich
may be running out of patience. With a legacy of changing the managers frequently, Ancelotti fears to lose his contract. He commented,
"I don't know (how long owner Roman Abramovich will remain patient). Obviously he won't be happy at this moment.”
Carlos Ancelotti was shocked at the team’s performance and admitted,
"We have to do better, obviously. It's not usual that Chelsea can't win for six games."
As speculated, there is some rift in the camp that is causing these problems but the manager denies the rumours. He justified,
"These rumours are not true. Everyone knows this moment is difficult and we're not able to do what we're usually able to do.”
With the awful performance Chelsea is displaying at the moment, the manager is still positive about the silverware hope. He hopefully said,
“It's not totally wrong. We have fantastic players. At the moment, it's no good for anybody. But we have to have confidence. We are sleeping now. This is the reality of this team. We are sleeping. If you play against a good team like Arsenal, you lose if
you don't wake up."
