The Spanish outfit had granted Cameroonian international the permission to speak to the Italian side but both parties could not reach on a conclusion. Espanyol have told the shot-stopper to resolve his future in the next few days
or return to the training to prepare for next La Liga season.

"Hence, if in the next few hours there are no new developments, Kameni will have to undergo a medical with Espanyol and join the first team in pre-season training in Peralada."
Kameni joined Espanyol in 2004 and has made more than 200 appearances for the Parakeets thus far.

Reports in the Italian media have constantly linked the Dutch international with a move to Rome but Ajax manager, Frank De Boer, has denied rumours. Stekelenburg has only one year left on his current contract with the Amsterdam
based side and the manager is hopeful that the shot-stopper will commit his future with Ajax.
“At the moment there is no interest in him. We now need to clarify if he is staying or not and whether he wants to sign a new contract. If he doesn’t extend then he will probably be sold during the January transfer window.” added
De Boer
The 28-year-old emerged from the youth ranks of Ajax in 2002 and has made more than 200 appearances for the club thus far.
