The experienced defender was content with the displays by Raizor based outfit, claiming that their performances have taken pressure off them.
Deportivo defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-Marchena-c8481, acknowledged that their start to 2012/13 La Liga season has been better than they expected. A Coruna based outfit have accumulated five points from three league fixtures and have yet to taste defeats following promotion
to the Primera Division.
Marchena reflected that they head into the September international break without pressure after a good return in their opening fixtures. He added that it leaves them in good stead as stress accumulates over time when a team worries about what the points
table before every fixture.
"Start well takes away some pressure of not having to go into every game knowing that either sums or are in the well. Do not have the burden of those who have not joined," the Andalusian player said at a press conference.
Continuing on the topic, Marchena explained that Deportivo players are excited by the start of the domestic championship. He likened their performances to those put up by fellow La Liga outfits and was pleased with what he saw, pointing towards http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604
who are the only team with maximum points.
The 33-year-old expects a very even competition ahead, stating that teams have reinforced their ranks intelligently and every team has the chance of registering decent results against their rivals.
"Apart from the usual, this season there is a large group of very even teams and the league will be very nice, competitive, even. You can win and lose in any game and that gives you attractive to the competition," he said.
Marchena was pleased with the attacking prowess of Deportivo La Coruna’s forwards, but claimed that they will need fortune to favour them if they wish for a positive season.
"We have not lost yet, we keep scoring and the other day we were left with the feeling of being able to win (Getafe), but when you cannot win, the important thing is not to lose and the idea is that, keep adding and keep," the 69 time capped Spanish international
stated.
