The Rossoneri chief praises the Catania striker, and reveals striker signing in the next 24 hours
A.C Milan Vice-President, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez are desperate to join the Italian Champions.
Tevez is considered as a primary transfer target for the Rossoneri, but Milan have failed to agree terms with Manchester City for the striker. Lopez has been placed on the stand-by since the start of the January transfer window,
and Galliani has made it clear several times that he will only arrive if they fail in Tevez’s signature.
The Rossoneri chief has revealed that the wait is over and one of the strikers will be registered with the club on Friday. Maxi Lopez was sighted in the stands in Milan’s 3-1 win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 in the Coppa Italia quarter-final at
San Siro on Thursday, January 26th.
Galliani praised the Catania striker but he insisted that he even himself is not sure what will happen in the next 24 hours. The Vice-President insisted that if Lopez does not arrive at San Siro in January, he will definitely join
the Italian Champions in July.
While talking to the reporters, Galliani said,
“By tomorrow at 19.00 (18.00 UK time), we will deposit a contract with the Lega. A clue? I’ll tell you our new striker will be from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentina-c2841 and his surname ends with a ‘z’. Maxi Lopez is a marvellous lad and I don’t know what
to say, as the next 24 hours are an enigma for me too. It is a new thing for us, locking down a player for several days, but whatever happens Maxi will be a Milan player in July. It is his dream to come and play for us.”
The 67-year-old also thanked Catania for being cooperative to them, and insisted that they understood the situation very well.
“Catania were very understanding about the situation, more so than other clubs, but we’ll only talk about that when this is all over.”
Catania rejected several bids from domestic and foreign clubs to make the striker Milan bound. Premier League side, Fulham reportedly had a bid rejected for the Argentine striker.
