Carlos Tevez confirms Manchester City exit – Barclays Premier League news
Manchester City striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez, has finally cleared the air surrounding his move away from City of Manchester Stadium. The Argentine striker has said that he would want to make a move away from the club in the summer.
Over the past few months there had been a number of rumours about Tevez’s future and recently his manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini, had said that his front man is not going anywhere. The Argentine international had earlier handed in a transfer request in December
but later backtracked and committed his future to the club. After Manchester City won the FA Cup he had said that he will be willing to stay but it would depend on the wishes of his family.
Manchester City beat Stoke City 3-0 in midweek and after the match http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 had said that Tevez has decided to stay after having a long discussion with the manager.
However, Tevez made another about face and made it clear that he wants to leave Manchester City during the next transfer window. There are already strong rumours linking the striker to a move to Italian club http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan, and now that it is public news the
he is looking for a way out there would be number of teams lining up for his signature.
"I want to leave Manchester City," Tevez, told Argentine station Radio del Plata. "Football has changed a lot for me and I don't know if I will even make it to the next World Cup. And that has nothing to do with whether I'm selected or not.”
When Tevez joined Manchester City there were number of incidents that suggested that he was not able to settle at the Midlands club. However, the former Manchester United man has said that he enjoyed his time at City and was treated very well.
He said, "I've been treated very well here and I'm grateful.” The former West Ham player said that he played for Manchester City with all his heart and was totally committed to the cause of the team, and the reason behind his decision to leave is only because
he needed change.
He added, "I also gave my everything for the club to receive the results it has had. But I need a change of scene."
South American players often tend to head back to their native clubs at the twilight of their career, but at the age of 27 it may be too early for him to go back.  Tevez said that to go back to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Boca-Juniors-c38658 will be great for him but for a number of reasons
it will not be easy. He stated the financial benefits of playing in Europe as one of the biggest motivators of staying.
Manchester City will definitely lose a big player but the financial lure and advantage of being in Champions League next season may allow them to bring in an able replacement.
