Carlos Tevez “looking forward” to have Fernando Torres alongside him in Manchester City

During the previous season Manchester City made big signings to strengthen their squad for a spot in the “top four” of the Premier League so that they can be a part of the Champion’s League this year. Unfortunately for them, it was not possible even with players like Robinho, Carlos Tevez, Craig Bellamy and Emmanuel Adebayor.
They were able to score goals, but they drew too many matches under their ex-manager, Mark Hughes. The Welsh national did not really impress the owners of the club and was sacked on 19th December 2009. The reasons were pretty obvious; he was not “delivering.” However, he won his last match as he waved farewell to his fans sitting in the club’s stadium. Manchester City then brought in the very experienced Italian manager, Roberto Mancini. The fans could easily see the difference between the two managers as Mancini started to win it for the blues.
In the previous season, it was all on the last fixture that Manchester City had to play against their rivals, Tottenham Hotspurs. The team that was going to win the match was going to become a part of the “big four” of the English League, replacing Liverpool who ended 7th at the end of the season. Tottenham Hotspurs were the winners of the match as Manchester City finished behind them at the 5th spot.
This year round, as the transfer window opened; Manchester City started to grab talented players and started to fill their squad with amazing players; Players like, Yaya Toure of Barcelona and the German defender Jerome Boateng. They have such a strong squad already that now they have to get rid of 13 players at least, to complete a 25-man squad. They already have Robinho out on loan and many can see how their amazing midfielder Ireland is no longer needed in the club, along with the former Arsenal man Adebayor.
There are many players that they might sell to generate even more cash, as they are ready to spend 100million pounds. They are after almost every good player in the market, and are on the verge of buying the Inter Milan 19 year old youngster, Mario Balotelli.
Recently, the Spanish football player and the current Liverpool striker, Fernando Torres has been unsure of his future in his current club as they had a disappointing last-season and they finished 7th. They lost their Champions League spot and this year they are going to fight for it, as said by their new manager Roy Hodgson. Manchester City eyed the Spaniard’s desire of leaving the club and wants him to be a part of their squad. The current Liverpool player is still confused about his future as his team-mate Javier Mascherano has already shown his desire of leaving the club and is interested in joining his former manager Rafa Benitez at Inter Milan.
The current Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez had an amazing time at the FIFA World Cup 2010, unlike the Spaniard, who suffered an injury while running after the ball in the final match against the Dutch. He did tell the press that he was having fitness issues throughout the FIFA World Cup 2010, but David Villa helped the Spanish side advance to the final where Andres Iniesta scored the only goal of the match in extra time, to win it for his country.
Carlos Tevez, the striker of Manchester City, told the press that he will really like it if he will be playing alongside Fernando Torres. Torres, on the other hand, has not been very consistent during his recent records. However, his goal-density in the previous season is something that most of the players match. Even though he managed to play only 22 games, he found the net 18 times. He injured himself after the match against Manchester United, which they won 2-0 on their home-ground, Anfield.
If Carlos Tevez and Torres join forces, it is definitely going to be the finest strike partnership in the Premier League. Both the players love to score goals and are good at what they do. With Manchester City already bidding for the Spaniard, anything can happen. Torres is still unsure about his future though, but anything can happen as Manchester City are ready to give as high as 70million pounds to the Liverpool striker and Liverpool already need some funds for new signings. Will Roy Hodgson sacrifice his finest striker for new players? Let us wait and watch.
