Carlos Tevez's Fuming Attitude
Tevez is not only a wonderful striker but also has the most goals, shots on and off and most Man of the Match awards at Manchester City. But along with this exemplary record he is also quite famous for arguing with the boss as
well, and is ranked second in this, right after Emmanuel Adebayor.
The latest argument happened at City’s last match where the Manager substituted him before a minute of the final whistle after Tevez received his fifth yellow card of the season meaning he’d miss their next fixture at West Ham.
Mancini, when asked about the behavior of his player on the touch line, replied that he’s happy when his players feel disappointed when they’re called off the pitch during a match:
"I'm happy. I prefer a situation when important players don't want to leave the pitch."
"Seeing Tevez's reaction to being subbed assures me there are problems within at City"
Kevin Davies, the Bolton forward, said. "Great players individually but as a team? There seem to be problems there; they do not even seem to celebrate goals together."
Tevez, ironically, conducted a pre-match interview with the club's website, to be shown today, insisting he had no issues with Mancini. "I get on well with Roberto and I back him 100%. We discuss lots of things both in public
and in private. We are both passionate football people and we both want the same things."
Davies apologized for his comments against the club, pointing at that he’s not entitled to make such comments but he never withdrew his comments:
"I think if you are being subbed it is the Manager's decision and you should also show a bit of respect to the player coming on. If you have a problem, it is best to sort it out behind closed doors rather than making an issue in
front of millions. Don't make a fuss about it in front of the world; speak with the boss after."
City’s Manager has likely to have decided to give Tevez some special compensation, and everyone is raising a question why? The reason can be the 33 goals scored in the last 50 appearances.
Adebayor who is also a good player doesn’t receive the same slack of opportunities and mostly stays on the bench and the same goes for Jérôme Boateng. City’s Manager has urged his players not to argue with a referee as it is damaging
the current position of the club in the League’s table. Manchester City’s current form is good followed up by the position in the League. City’s Manager said that the players get a lot of free kicks and cards in the Premier League, as compared to the international
matches so it wouldn’t a good idea to argue with a referee and get yourself benched.
Balotelli, Tevez, David Silva and Yaya Touré all combined, ruptured Bolton's defenders but City's inability to score goals has made them the team with the least home goals this season which is a setback for the club considering
their last season’s performance. Mancini has been furious over such results and has complained that his strikers are acting selfish and turning a routine winning game into a breathtaking finale. Manchester City is a club full of skill, and determination. But
at this time in the League table, there’s very little margin of error and following the current form of Manchester City and the way their players are being cautioned or sent off, a lot is at stake for the Manager. "As much as we were not at our maximum, we
were always in the game and could have nicked a point,” Mancini said.
