Carlos Vela on Bolton’s radar
Bolton Wanderers manager, Owen Coyle hints at bringing Arsenal starlet http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-Vela-c8558 to the Reebok Stadium this January.
Carlos Vela, who wears the Arsenal number 11 jersey previously vacated by first team striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marouane-Chamakh-c24294 has dampened all such expectations. Recognising Vela’s fall in the pecking order, Arsene Wenger also confirmed recently that the youngster could leave on loan in order to look for some regular football.
Owen Coyle, recognising the young talent, was quick to appreciate Vela’s ability on the ball and his club’s need for reinforcements this January.
"Carlos Vela is an outstanding player. I think Arsene said at the weekend he could go on loan and people have looked and put two and two together.”
The Bolton manager continued,
"We have a good relationship with Arsenal, obviously with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Wilshere-c17463 last year and hopefully we played a small part in his development, and there is no doubting Carlos Vela is a wonderful player."
While Sam Allardyce’s management might have seen Bolton as Arsenal’s bogey team, things have definitely eased up since Owen Coyle took in charge at the Reebok Stadium. The two clubs were seen last doing business last season when the Gunners sent out Jack Wilshere on loan. Seeing as how well the young midfielder is doing at the club this season, perhaps it’s safe to assume that the move worked out rather well.
Turning back our attention to Carlos Vela, a potential move to Bolton could work out in the favour of all 3 parties involved. Firstly, it is bound to give the Arsenal number 11 some much needed first team experience and playing with a team of Bolton’s physical presence could arguably be a huge learning experience for the young lad -or any Arsenal player, based on their general intolerance for the game’s physicality. Secondly, Bolton Wanderers need a natural finisher who also brings pace to the table. With Kevin Davies, while strength is not an issue, the England-born striker often comes second best in the speed department. Thirdly, the Arsenal team would not only be exempted from paying the player’s fee but would also reap the reward for the player’s development when he returns from his loan spell.
However, for Bolton’s sake, ‘temporarily’ hijacking the Mexican might be faced with stiff competition as Chievo and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 are also interested in the services of the striker – Wenger on the other hand, might welcome the option of giving his player a Premier League experience.
