Arsenal’s Mexican forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-Vela-c8558 is more than likely to be sticking around at the Emirates, for at least another season.
The twenty two year old forward, who was sent out to West Brom as part of a loan deal, for the latter half of last season, was strongly being favoured to be on his way out of the club, considering the lack of first team options that he faced. Nonetheless,
it now seems like that won’t be the case, despite him being linked with a number of teams in the past.
Vela who still seems to have no http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 future at the Emirates, unless something magical happens this season, seems destined to try his luck at the North London club once more.
The player’s agent, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eduardo-c12034 Hernandez, when talking about his clients future, is quoted to have said: "I have had eight conversations with Arsenal, the most recent was last Friday, and Carlos is an Arsenal player, he will stay at Arsenal and is not for sale.”
"The process with Carlos is a little bit slow.”
However, the agent went on to add and accept that Vela had actually
"Arsene Wenger is an extremely demanding coach, he sent him on loan for six months to West Brom not with the results he wanted, but, nevertheless, everything is going very well."
This decision made by Vela, if anything seems to be a rather peculiar one. Vela, if anything is well aware of the fact that Arsenal have more than enough medium sized pacy wingers/forwards and with him opting to stick around at the club. Despite knowing
that, the fact that he has opted to stick around at the club for a little longer, is a little confusing.
From Wenger’s point of view, it is probably a bold move, which shows that the player is more than willing to fight for his position in the league. However, at the same time, it is going to be more than unlikely for him to be able to do just that.
Vela, is someone who you regard to be a standard Premier League player, the player has the fitness and the basic http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Skills-c40539 required to compete with the others, but, he just doesn’t have a cutting ‘X’ factor. In simple terms, the player just isn’t someone who
could help Arsenal take their game to a whole other level.
Nonetheless, perhaps it is a little too early to base any judgment over Vela and his future contributions to the club and hence we will have to wait and see how the player does in the upcoming, 2011-2012 Premier League season.
