Carlota Ciganda says fitness training key to success on the course
Carlota Ciganda, who finished tied for 7th at the Unicredit Ladies German Open, recently talked to the media about her fitness routine, explaining what has actually helped her keep fit for the sport.
Hailing from Spain, Ciganda has been a prominent figure in women’s pro golf. With the media heaping praises on her for displaying an explosive performance in the last two LET (Ladies European Tour) events,
the Ladies German Open and Turkish Airlines Ladies Open, Ciganda's fans wonder how she has been able to improve her game in such a short time.
When asked how her fitness training has helped her improve her game, Ciganda said that she is an avid believer of physical fitness, and has been doing it for a long time now.

The Spanish star said that since she started working out in gym, her swing and putting have improved so much.
She surprised her fans by revealing that she has been involved in sport-related exercises since she was just 12 years old.
Touching on another important aspect of the sport—injuries—the rising golfer pointed out that keeping her from muscular problems is the key to success on the course.

She said that a golfer cannot ignore injuries, because it is inevitable in this business.“Exercising not only helps you to avoid injuries and have a better and longer golf career, it also makes you feel better,”
Ciganda put it.
She went on to say that she is following a very effective programme, which focuses on various aspects of physical training, from strength to stamina and resilience.

She explained that she has overcome several lapses through her fitness routine, as it typically requires her to work out three to four days in a week.“I think it benefits me because working every week it
is good for my health in general, and it is also good for my back, to avoid future injuries”.
When asked about her pre-season programme, the Spanish prodigy said that she follows the same routine before an event. She explained that spending three to four days in gym is the answer to all her fitness
woes.
“I usually work out 3-4 days per week, doing little bit of everything: some running (during 15 minutes at least), weights and pectoral, strengthen exercises with the machines in the gym,” Ciganda shared.
