Carly Booth ready for showdown in India
Scottish Carly Booth can still relish the two victories that she grabbed in the first half of the current season, but the upcoming Hero Women’s Indian Open is going to give the young gun another
good chance to prove her worth.
Booth is in the roster of the Hero Women’s Indian Open, set to kick off from November 30th, at DLF Golf & Country Club, New Delhi, India, but what is really important for her is
to add another victory to her profile in the 2012 LET (Ladies European Tour) season.
When the Scottish golfer had started her season early in the year, only a few had thought that she would be able to win. And when she had finally snapped up her maiden title at the Aberdeen
Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open 2012 in May, her critics had to praise her abilities.
Booth’s performance at the tournament was nothing short of amazing as she subdued big names like Catriona Matthew of Scotland, who was hot favourite, and English Laura Davies.
Booth’s winning journey did not halt there, as she grabbed yet another LET title at the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open 2012 in June.
The Hero Women’s Indian Open 2012 is the second last event of the 2012 LET season, which means players will have one more battle to fight after they finally head to Dubai.
Dubai is going to stage the season-ending Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, scheduled for December 5 to 8, with top-ranked stars seeking to win the coveted titles—Ladies European Tour’s Order of
Merit and Rookie of the Year.
Booth has been in good shape since the start of the season, but winning the two prestigious accolades will be an uphill task for her, as Spanish Carlota Ciganda has strengthened her first
position in the ISPS Handa Order of Merit by pocketing 232,656 euro.
The Scottish star is standing at the fourth position in the Order of Merit, having earned 159,148 euro.
On the other hand, German Caroline Masson may have a chance to win the money race as she has managed to grab the second position by pocketing 210,831 euro.
Another player likely to grab the attention at the upcoming event is Lee-Anne Pace, who is standing at the third position in the ISPS Handa Order of Merit.
