Carmax? How relaible are the vehicles?

I am looking at one there and I need to hear from someone that has dealt with them.

They are largely X rentals and have all been well maintained. I recently bought one that after we got it, had a tire sensor problem. They fixed it without complaint and for free. I am happy with my dealings with them. They are of course not the cheapest because they will not negotiate. Most dealers are struggling right now so you can often negotiate a great price on any car.

Having worked in the industry...  If you're going to buy a quality used car, Carmax is a good place to go.  They ONLY sell used cars and the vehicles go through a REAL serious inspection process.  You'll pay more for a car from them, but it's because they've put more money into making sure it's in great condition and ready to go.  They also offer reasonable extended warranties.  I own an 03 Jeep Wrangler that I bought from them and had to bring it back for an oil leak.  I'm an ASE master tech and would have no problem fixing it, but in this instance it was not MY problem.  Anyways, they fixed the problem right away and supplied me with a rental car.  I would certainly buy from them again.
