  1. I bought a car from carmax 4 years ago. The offer is set in stone. However, take advantage of the 7 day return offer, shop around, you may be able to get a new car for the price you pay for the used one. Especially in this market. The car I bought from carmax ended up having electrical problems and I no longer own it. It was a complete waste of money and energy. People only sell their junk cars to carmax to get them off of their hands, either that or they by fleets. Check under the hood make sure there aren't any rental car stickers.

  2. I just bought a 05 Chevy Traiblazer and offered them cash. They said the price you pay is what

you see whether you finance or pay cash. What

I did like they have all the fluids changed in the SUV and they inspect and recondition the car.

You are not buying a used car from a fly by night

used car lot that operates out of a old gas station.

Who knows what you will get from them.

  3. The offer is set in stone.  They're already telling you the lowest price they'll accept as an offer.
