Im making an arrangement with carnations it’s for a funeral and I’m making it the shape of the San Diego Charger Bolt. Im using regular Styrofoam. Not fresh floral Styrofoam will it make a difference I only need it for two full days. The reason I want to use regular white is because It’s a bigger sheet and I’m not sure if they sell fresh flower Styrofoam in the size that I need. Can someone help with suggestions?

  1. Carnations are a good, long lasting flower; however, I would recommend that you use floral foam anyway.  Using floral wire, you can bind the smaller sections of foam together and affix the entire piece to a regular piece of Styrofoam or simply cut out a real Styrofoam "frame" to further secure the pieces of floral foam as one single element.

Don't forget that your prep time counts as out-of-water time for the flowers, too--and if the climate is warm, that will take a toll on the arrangement as well.
