Carnival's Imagination.Who has been on it since it is renovated?Who has been out of the Miami cruise terminal?

Im taking a cruise next week out of Miami to Cayman and Ocho Rios. Please help me with

1) How much of a drive is it from Ft Lauderdale to Miani cruise port?

2) Whcih cruise prot do you think is easier- Ft lauderdale which I have ben through) or Miami (never been there?)

3)How is the 'new renovated' Imagination?

4)If I stay in Margeritaville in Ocho Rios is there a small beach- as I heard nothing is safe in Jamaica.

I was on the Imagination twice, once before the reno, and then just last month.

1) Depending on traffic it can take up to an hour.  It cost us about 85.00 for a taxi, from Ft. Lauderdale airport.

2) I haven't been to the port in Ft. Lauderdale, but the port in Miami couldn't have been any easier.  We got dropped off by the taxi in front of the terminal, walked right in and were on the ship in 20 minutes.

3) It's great.  The waterpark is great if you have kids.  Other than that though (and the mini golf) it didn't seem much different than before.  It's a nice ship

4)_ that's not the itinerary we were on so I can't answer that .
