  1. Rooms at the bottom of the ship typically lack windows and are closer to the engine rooms so they're more prone to pick up a little noise and vibrations.  Plus the late night teens love to hang out at the bottom and cause more noise and pranks.  Trust me. I've been on the conquest and several other ships. Its alway the same.

  2. I've never heard that rooms on the lower decks were bad. Although the Conquest is a large ship, meaning the motion of the ocean would be minimal, If there were any concern about motion, rooms at the lower levels are desirable, especially midship. All you really do in your cabin is sleep and shower anyway, who cares!!! Bon Voyage. The Conquest is a kick butt ship.

  3. You don't really spend much time in your room so cabin is a matter of personal taste.

You end up walking up/down more stairs if you book on the bottom or the ship and you don't have the option for a balcony.

But the lower levels are a real money saver.

On the Conquest, we prefer the Verandah deck, 8 forward.

It is a close 1 flight of stairs walk to the Lido deck.  But we book forward as not to get the noise from the Lido deck parties.

We don't book on deck 4 or 6 because of the noise from the casino and shows on deck 5.

It is good to avoid cabins that back up to the elevators or other service areas.

  4. I don't know that is "bad"

I sailed Conquest in August last year.  We stayed on the main deck in an outside cabin and it was just fine.
