Question:

Carnival Cruise - Are Jeans acceptable in the dining room?

Going on a 4 night cruise to Baja Mexico at the end of July. The Carnival website talks about "resort casual" wear for non-formal dining room nights. Just wondering if people who have been on Carnival cruises saw Jeans in the dining room or if it was mostly khakis and black pants, etc. I know my fiance prefers jeans but he will take Dockers if I make him!

  1. Jeans are ok.  The only requirement is that you are not allowed to wear shorts and t-shirts.  I have even seen people wearing jeans on formal night.  I would not do that, but any other night would not be a problem for me.

  2. would you go to a 4 star restaurant wearing jeans?

  3. Jeans are not considered appropriate for Dinner in the dining room, however I have been on five Carnival cruises and have seen people wearing jeans and I have never seen them ask somebody to leave. So it is really up to you.

  4. Was your Money acceptible to the Cruiseline???

  5. I have seen and worn jeans in the dining room, pretty much anything is acceptable, except bathing suits. You paid your money and it's vacation, wear what makes you comfortable.

  6. Make him pack the Dockers for the resort casual dinners.  You'll want at least coat & tie for any of the formal ( Captain's ) dinners.

  7. Yes why not. as long as u pay. its okay

  8. Yes, jeans are fine except of formal night, which will be the second night on the cruise.

  9. i went on a carnival crusie before...i didn't see many men wearing jeans in the dining room...

  10. You can wear what ever you like, however the waiters will not have on jeans, neither will most people and at some point the waiters, maybe dancing with cherry jubilee at your table. I went on the Carnival years ago, It was one of the greatest experience I have ever had- good traveling

  11. I never conform to anything what I wear. Mostly shorts and T-shirts any day of the week, but if I'm in company of others in a dining room I will dress accordingly out of respect  to my fellow diners. It is only politeness to do so.
