  1. 1.  Yes, you payed for the buffet restaurant, and the fancy one.  The rest cost money, but not much.

    2.  Yes, the locals no way more about the place, and all its features.

    4.  Yes, in the beginning, they have a raffle for lots of spa treatments.  You just enter, and entering is free.

    5.  Yes, we did this.

    6.  The club is fun for a little while, but then it gets a little boring.

    7. You can if they are short, and dont colide timewise.  make sure you allow time for transport.

  2. I have cruised to Cozumel before and just vacationed in Cozumel at a resort.  From previous cruises I have come to realize that the local tours they sell are usually half the price and the exact same tours the ship offers you (you will run into people off the ship in your tour group that paid full price!).  My parents go to Cozumel every year and love all the ruins, I am not much for ruins.  The island was small enough to get a moped and drive around, there are some awesome beaches you can stop at and all the places on the beach will let you use their chairs and kayaks and stuff for a small fee.

The only thing I have ever had to pay for as far as food or beverage on the cruise ships is espresso, beer or mixed drinks, soda, and smoothies.  The formal dining and all that is free, unless they have a specialty restaurant besides the buffet or main dining room.  If you buy alcohol on shore and want to get it on the ship to drink, just sneak it back in a colored water bottle so they don't try to store it for you!

The spa treatments on ship are never really that great.  Plus, they are super expensive.

You will be able to find tons of shopping areas and markets, so don't even worry about that!

Have fun, and remember not to lose track of time because it is expensive to get to the next port on your own!

  3. You can eat wherever you want on the ship except for the Supper club for which there is an extra charge of $25 per person. Its worth it.

Only reason you take the on board tours is that Carnival stands behind them and if your late getting back to port the ship will wait.

    Spa treatments free. No way.

Yes the tours will stop in town for you

Teen clubs from what my clients have told me are a lot of fun for the teens.

Yes you can do two in on day.

Pack lite.  Enjoy the days at sea and use room service any time because its free.

Most important of all.  HAVE FUN

  4. I'm actually going on one of Carnival's Eastern Carribean cruises in Sept.  I did the Western Carribean last time, which included Cozumel.  I spent most of my time in port at Carlos & Charlie's, which is great fun if you're over 21.  I would play it safe and stay with a touring group from the ship.  You can get your own group together and decide where you want to go.  It's real easy to make friends on board.  I'm not too saavy about the ruins.  All depending on how much time you have, you may be able to do several things, they generally give you plenty of time.  Just make sure you get back to the ship on time!

You will be getting an EXQUISITE dinner prepared for you every time you go to the main dining hall, that's all included, as well as snacks and burgers and pizza and all that, even most room service is included.  You only have to pay extra for the small restaurant on board, if there's one on your ship ($30 a person, I think).  But you'll be getting a 5 star meal without going to the restaurant.

Spa treatments are extra.  I saw lots of teens hanging out at the teen club, I'm sure you'll enjoy that, that's where you'll meet everyone your age.  Once you make friends, you'll find stuff to do on the ship with them.  You can really play it by ear, you can't not have a good time!

E-mail me if you want more info.  But you will have the time of your life guaranteed!
