Carnival Cruise Ships - Last name?

Question

I already booked my cruise before I recieved my passport. I booked using my first name and last name. The problem is my last name is hyphenated and I used the first part (before the hyphen) of my last name. Will there be an issue with my last name not matching the reservation?

Guest names on travel documents (passport, Alien Resident Card, birth certificate, etc.) must be identical to those on the cruise and airline tickets. Otherwise, proof of name change (e.g., a marriage license) OR a valid driver's license (or other government-issued photo ID) must be presented.i would go ahead and call carnival right away tell them your last name is not spell right i sure would hate to see you not make your cruise i wish all the best hope you have a great time

You will have opertunity to bring them the correct name. Do the internet checkin and use the correct name there. Or if you wanna do that call/email them and change the name. It shouldnt be an issue but if you get a single minded check in personal that doesnt know about this you could be in some ****. So the best way is to simple tell the cl youre correct last name and the reason why you booked different. Johan

Call Carnival directly.  You may be able to take your ID with you that shows the hyphenated name as proof of who you are.  

It is tricky now, since the passport law kicked in.  

I would definitely contact Carnival right away and find out what to do.
