  1. Just got off the ship not 3 days ago. In Cozumel, we rented a jeep from National. It cost around $85 with full coverage insurance. You will have to fill the gas back up after use. It comes full. Turn right when you get to the main road. About 15 minutes straight you come to Paradise Beach. Beautiful, and free. We stopped at Margravittaville for lunch and drinks.

Right in front of the cruise ship docking area is a great place to shop for stuff.  Make sure you bargain for the best prices Had a blast. In Grand Cayman don't take the excursion to h**l, turtle farm, and sting-ray city. IMHO, wasn't worth the $69 a person. When you get to Tampa, you have to drop off your luggage first, then go park your car. That is if you do not valet park. The terminal is straight ahead in front of the ship. The parking garage is to your right about 3-4 buildings back. Getting on and off ship was quick, and easy. Crew was friendly, and took great care of us. Good food. Good entertainment. Don't drink the drink special ultimate suntan- yuk! Had a ov. Plenty of room for your stuff. Water was HOT! Ship looked fine to me. Everyone was cleaning or painting something. Hope this helps!

  2. i love the inspiration! it's a smaller ship because it's used primarly for the four day cruises but it's a great little ship!

get by the pool early if you want a pool seat becasue it fills up quick .. sit a few rows back becasue otherwise you will get splashed but do it by the pool becasue thats where all the action and entertainment is.. ( contests... caribbean band.. food/drinks! )

in cozumel either swim with the dolphins if you never have done it..

if you have or it's filled up  and you are traveling with friends and don;'t have any children... then go on the booze cruise or to the beach where you can drink all you want and there is a bunch of things to do.. take kayaks out to the ocean.. water trampoline.. a rock wall in hte ocean to climb..

go shopping close to the port... it's the safeest place and you can stil bargin pretty well

go to fat tuesdays as well on your way out!

it's a great place and everyone from the ship tends to gather here prior to the end of the day at cozumel!

hope that you have a blast!

  3. went on that ship last Sept

it was wonderful, the ship is nice and the food is awesome, the dinning room is the best. Cozumel is nice lots of shopping and it is a popular place to see the Mayan ruins from. San Gevasio is the best one on Cozumel itself it is not big but it is nice if you don't want to go far.

  4. The Carnival Inspiration is one of the Fantasy-Class ships. I would check out Carnival's website (http://www.carnival.com) for many details.

  5. My very first cruise was on the Inspiration in Jan '06. If Teni (Indonesian bar waitress) is still working that ship find her. She's fabulous!

The ship is great, all the staff were wonderful, we liked our room, the food, etc.

In Cozumel we rented 2 jeeps (there were 8 of us) and did our own thing. The island is small and there's basically 1 road that circles it so no getting lost. There's a lighthouse and park to see, some bars on the beach, and some mayan ruins. When you get back to town you can finish up with some shopping and a cocktail before re-boarding the ship.

    Have a great time!

  6. If you're in an outside cabin on lower deck, expect for 'window-side' person to crawl over the life vest cabinet.

Dunno about other 'rooms', but been on Inspiration 2x.

Cozumel, depending on where you dock... if you're by the mall, go 2 or 3 blocks to the left and hit the Corona Bar. Buck a beer, and tourista trappa, but it passes the afternoon. If you're in the way far away dock, take a cab. Or, if you're up for a walk, walk the 2-3 miles to town.. almost to town there's a 'wal-mart' kinda store on the right... you'll see the shopping carts. Neat to walk around in there and do some 'comparison shopping'.

If you're at the 'way far away' dock and are going to do the Atlantis submarine tour,, don't take a cab. It's only 2 blocks away on the ocean side of the street.

If you're into snorkeling, there's a snorkel place every 20 feet.

DO NOT take the 'body snatchers' up on their offer of free use of resort. It's a time share, and you don't get to use any of the amenities until 'after' you buy in. Waste of 2 hours.

Grand Caymen: Make your way to 'cultural center' kinda mall. Small shops. BlackDick's rum cakes are far superior to Tortola (tortuga? .. whatever, BlackDick's are way better.) When you're done there, go to Breezes bar (upstairs from Blackbeard's liquor shop)

Can get to 'h**l' on a $2.50 bus ride (public transportation), and get off wherever you think might be interesting.

Dining room is better than Lido deck for food, but the wait is booooooring. I'd make do with the lido buffet.

Casino:  Carnival is legend for 'taking donations'.

    BankAtlantic ATM machines on board.

Big Black d**k's rum is interesting for having the label, but the rum isn't wonderful.

Booze on board is cheaper than any of the ports... except maybe Stoli in Coz (used to be cheaper, but origin is questionable)

    Enjoy!

  7. I went to Cozumel on Carnival too I'm pretty sure it was also the Inspiration..I would highly recommend renting a jeep when you get to Cozumel It is big and you will want to venture off on you're own. Also there are many good shows on the boat you should see as many as possible. Other then that just have fun!!
