I am choreographing a duet based on festivals/carnivals etc, have you got any ideas of what we should include? Any websites that might help us? or any tips? Aldo our teacher said that from her experience they use quite a bit of gym, any ideas or know what we should do?

Thanks .x.

  1. From my experience of carnival participation [16 years], Carnival is a lot about having fun and enjoying yourself. Its often not choreographed unless the music directs you to do a certain move. Carnival makes you feel awesome, especially if you're dressed up feathers, head-dresses and sequins. Often songs that go way back can bring different carnival bands together if they're all doing the same routine. My favourite songs always involve "going down" "coming up" "backing up" etc.

A lof of it about simultaneous movement but its less about the abilty to do the dance and more about joining in.
