Carnival Fantasy Cruise, what to do in Cozumel and Progreso?

We are not party people, just looking maybe to do some snorkling and shopping. The cruise tours are expensive, any ideas??

as another poster is doing, I suggest renting a jeep for 45 bucks and heading to the east side of the island. Its definitely more laid back over there, there are a few restaurants that will let you take their tables right out into the waves and you can have som lunch and theres chen rio and Xelha that are great for lounging and snorkeling sometimes. The island is small and you could do all this while in port you'll just have to manage your time
