hi everyone im going on the Pride... At the end of January. Has anyone ever gone at that time? My biggest worry is the weather. but i've also heard that there weather down there is different from right here. Like here in june... its really hot.. and over there; they have hurricanes... I'm really excited.. but just worried about the weather :T

Also for people who has gone to this one: How is this one different.. do they have nightclubs? I went on the Paradise... just wondering if its different... Thanks a whole lot everyone!!

  1. The Carnival pride is a great ship, and if you loved the Paradise, you will be THRILLED with the Pride... The weather will be in the 80's and the SUN will be HOT! I went last April, and i LOVED this itenerary. There are 11 bars and lounges, and the ship is great! You will have the time of your life-- I fell in love with Cabo and plan on getting married there next year! Have FUN, S

  2. I was on the Pride in May 2004.  In January around Los Angeles it most likely will be cool.  As you approach Cabo it will start to warm up.  You don't have to worry about hurricanes in January.  The Paradise only goes as far south as Ensenada, while the Pride will go about 900 miles further south (when it reaches its first port - Puerto Vallarta).  Ensenada will still be cool in January.  Puerto Vallarta will be warm, even in January.

The Pride is a little bigger than the Paradise.  The Pride is also four years newer (the Pride was built in 2002, the Paradise in 1998).  The Paradise is the last of the Fantasy class, while the Pride is the second of four of the Spirit class.  The Spirit class is my favorite class of the Carnival fleet.

The Pride has balcony cabins while the Paradise does not (the Paradise has suites with balconies, but no regular cabins with balconies).  The Pride's water slide does not end in the pool like the Paradise's water slide does.  Also, the Pride has more room per person that the Paradise does, so the ship will feel less crowded even if it is fully sold out.
