  1. I loved my vacation on a carnival crusie!

You'll need your basic vacation things. (Shirts, shorts, shoes, tolietries) One formal outfit for the Captain's night. At dinners you may want to bring other casual attire. Remember a bathing suit becasue there are many pools on the ship. Don't forget a camera either. Sunglasses, and sunscreen is what I didn't bring, but needed. On the pool deck around noon it can get real hot! Oh bring some money and your passport if you are going to a different country (even Mexico). Enjoy your vacation.

  2. There are no clocks in the room, so if you want to keep tabs on the time, bring a travel clock.

Also, there are few outlets in the room, so you may want to bring an extension cord or power cord if you'll have need for outlets.

You may want to bring one of those little LED lights, to find your way to the bathroom during the night, especially if you have an inside cabin.

Be sure you bring any pharmacy type things you'll need [first aid, sunscreen, pain reliever, benadryl for seasickness, etc] because if they have it in the ship store it will be expensive.  Wait until you get to port and find a drug store if necessary.

You can go to CruiseCritic.com, click on "Boards" and then search "packing list" and you'll get lots of lists which you can browse for ideas.

If you have a lanyard, you might want to bring it.  They can punch a hole in your sign & sail card and then you can put it on the lanyard.  Even if you don't wear it around your neck, it makes it easier to find and hold onto.

    Have a great cruise!

  3. are you going on Glory?

If so email me at apc_73195@hotmail.com

im 12 and im going toooo :]

  4. Use plenty of sunscreen.  I just got off of Carnival Glory yesterday & made the mistake on Friday of not putting on sunscreen because I planned on being on deck for just an hour before I went in to do something else & got burnt.  You don't need as many clothes as you might think either.  I had a blast & can't wait to do it again.  Have fun!

  5. be sure to take some extra clothes hangers and clothes pins for your wet bathing suits ,so you cang them up to dry swim wear (at least 2),

    -shorts, tank tops and "T's"

    -sandals, flip-flops, beach shoes,

-your snorkel equipment if you have it,

-sun glasses and sun screen, & lotions,

-a cap, visor or big hat for the sun,

-a book if you are a reader,

    -your music player,

-sneakers and clothes to workout in if you like to use the gym,

    -good walking shoes,

-your camera, and your cell phone (depending upon your service plan your phone will work in ports)

-other personal toiletries including tooth paste, mouth wash or lotions.Take a small carry-on bag for the last night of the cruise. On the last evening you will be required to put your luggage outside your cabin by about 2:00 AM so that they can start taking it down to the lower deck for offloading the next morning. So you will need a small bag for your toiletries and your clothes that you sleep inIf you plan to get into the pools or hot tub as soon as you get on ship (they will be open), bring those clothes in your carry on bag; you other luggage may not get to your cabin until much later in the afternoon.

    - Take a can of air freshener for your cabin bathroom. The bathrooms do not have exhaust fans.

    - Take a few zip lock bags of various sizes; they always come in handy Take a small bottle of hand sanitizer and/or hand-wipes. There are generally sanitizer dispensers at the entrances of restaurants, the buffets and dining room, but some times the are not there or not working. The sanitizer helps prevent the spread of the Norwalk Virus that sometimes occur on cruise ships well hope this will help you have a great cruise

  6. Take all your toiletries...makeup, soaps, shampoos, deodorant, etc.  Take lots of sunscreen.  Take after sun products...moisturizer as well as an aloe product in case of sunburn.  If you've never been on a boat for a long period of time, take a seasickness product.  You may not need it, but you'd rather have it than not.  Take all your medications.

Clothing:  Take 2 comfortable pairs of shorts to wear over your bathing suit.  You will wear your suit more than anything.  Take skirts for dinner - they are much more comfortable and easy to wear than pants.  One black knit skirt and several colored tanks will do for dinner each night.  Take a pair of flip flops for days and sandals for evening.  Take t-shirts for cover-ups.

Make sure you leave room in your suitcase for souveniers.

Bottom line:  You won't need as much as you think you will.

    Have fun!!!!!!
