  1. Since Carnival's food prices are so high, I usually stop by Jack In The Box and stock up on dollar menu items on my way to the dock; 20 tacos, 12 jr. cheeseburgers, etc. I also bring a case of water. People look at me kinda strange getting on the boat carrying all that stuff but, hey, at least I know I'll be covered.

I tried to bring my massage therapist Connie last time. She ran off with some business man from Sri Lanka. He had a suite with a spa tub. Oh well. I wont try that again.

    have a fun time : ) !!!

  2. The food on the Lido deck, buffet, regular dining room and room service are included in the price.  Soda is not included in room service and those snacks in the room are like a hotel mini bar...they charge you for them.

The shows and other events except the casino and art auction are included in the price.

Here are some of the items that are not included in your fare price...

Tips - $10 per day per guest

Bar drinks 0 $4-12 each plus 15% gratuity

Soda - $1.75 by can or $35-45 for unlimited by glass program

    Photos - $20-25 per sheet

    Bingo - $5-10 per card

    Casino - $$$

    Internet - by the minute

Phone - about $7 per minute!

Shore excursions - $50-200 per excursion

Spa services - $50-200 per service

    Parking or shuttle to port

    Tips for luggage porters

    Taxis while in port

Carnival is a cashless system except for the casino.  You will open an account when you board that is either based on a credit card or a cash deposit.

Carnival charges the tips to your account the moment you step on, so make sure that you have more than $70 in your account if you want to charge while on board.  You still have the option to tip in cash, but you have to visit the pursers desk and have them remove the tips from your account.

If you use a cash account, the purser will give you a note in your cabin letting you know and you have the option to add more money to your account to continue spending.  Using a cash account may be a bit inconvenient but it will keep you from overspending because it is SO easy just to swipe your card and run up a huge bill, especially if you enjoy the bar drinks.

  3. Food is included in the price and so are all soft drinks, liquor is charged to your cabin and so are spa services all other activities are included.

You will love cruising even if you have a day of rain there is so much to do on board and because the ship is always moving a lot of the time the ship sails out of the bad weather.

    Go and enjoy.

  4. Virtually all food is included except for the supper club and items purchased at the various specialty food shops on the ship (The usually have a specialty dessert and coffee shop) That means room service, buffets, main dining room and the other areas are all included in the cruise price. (My son's personal favorite was the soft serve ice cream which he had every time he passed one) Soda and Alcohol costs extra but they do have non carbonated drinks (Iced tea and punch) that is free. As for ship activities, the spa treatments cost, but you can use the spa area, ie the sauna, for free. Watch out for the spa attendants as they will always want to sell you something you really don't need for an outrageous price. My wife was very upset to find out she spent around $200 for products she probably would have paid only $50 for. (I told her to forget it as she was on a cruise) Most of the other activities on the ship are free including the stage shows. They will have activities going on all the time. If there is a charge (like $20 to join a blackjack tournament) it will be clearly displayed either at the venue or in the Capers (the on board newsletter) There is so much to do you may not find the time to lie around and do nothing. Just remember you're on vacation so get involved and have a great time.

  5. No, you do not have to pay for any food on the ship. It is all included. There is so much foood, you will never be hungary. On the other hand, you do have to buy drinks (everything but juices and water). If you think you are going to drink a decent amount of soda I would recomend getting the soda card. It is 4 dollars a day to drink as much soda as you want the entire trip.

Yes, you do have to pay for the spa. Wait until the last day, that is when they have amazing deals. There are lots of fun activities that are free though. Games, dances, shows, ect. Just fyi most things on the ship you don't have to pay for. It is mostly all included in the fee. The exceptions are, shore excursions, the casino, alcohol, the spa, and any shopping you would want to do. Other than that its all included and you don't have to pay for anything once you are onboard.

  6. You don't have to pay for food at dinner or at the buffet but if you want beverages besides water you have to pay for that.

And the spa costs money, along with massages and facials and things like that. Going to the gym or pool doesn't cost money though.
